The apartment is designed as a calm and timeless living environment for a young family, with an emphasis on functionality, spatial openness, natural light, and the long-term durability of materials. Exposed concrete, wood, and natural stone establish a cohesive material palette that extends throughout the interior. The warmth of timber surfaces balances the raw character of the concrete structure, while black details and refined furniture elements introduce graphic precision.
The design is defined by clear geometry and the repetition of elementary forms, circles and rectangles, across the spatial layout, furniture, and lighting. The floor plan establishes a distinct separation between the living and private zones, with a central entrance directly accessible from the elevator and an adjoining service area. A ceiling height of 2.9 metres and an open-plan arrangement enhance the sense of spatial generosity.
Natural light and panoramic views of Bratislava are integral to the architectural concept. Floor-to-ceiling glazing connects the living spaces with the terraces and the surrounding cityscape, while roof skylights bring daylight into the bathrooms and dressing room. The restrained material palette also provides a neutral backdrop for artworks and everyday family life.
The result is a minimalist yet welcoming interior, where precise geometry, natural materials, and light come together to create a harmonious residential environment.
