The project transforms a typical office building of its era into a contemporary workplace without replacing the existing structure. The renovation aimed not only to redefine the building’s architectural expression, but also to improve the quality of the working environment, enhance energy efficiency, and extend the building’s long-term sustainability.

The original composition of interconnected volumes was retained and unified through a new material treatment. Brick cladding brings the individual volumes together into a coherent whole, while continuous bands of large windows preserve the building’s office character and provide generous natural light. Dark metal elements articulate the entrances and complement the restrained material palette.

The use of brick also references the industrial heritage of the area, which has gradually evolved into a contemporary urban district. New landscaping and redesigned entrance areas extend the transformation into the building’s immediate surroundings.

The project demonstrates the potential of adapting a widespread typology of ageing office buildings. By working with the existing structure rather than demolishing it, the intervention extends the building’s lifespan, improves its energy performance, and gives it a renewed architectural identity.
